Trade A-arms

My buddy is going to be picking up this 450r soon, its a 2005 and he's looking at trading the a-arms for a set of mx arms that use the same length shocks. They are houser +5 long travels for 04-05s

After searching around on the forum, I guess we can use any year a-arms on the 2005 but just the appropriate year spindles also? please chim in on this ...

Yes you can use the different years a-arms, as long as you have the correct spindles.

Those look like houser's mx a-arms to me

Thanks, these are houser xc +.5" a-arms they made them like this before they made the slicast max travel ones

I'm pretty sure they are 19.5" but it could be 19.75" I'll try to get a definate this weekend

the hubs between a 2005 and 2006 are different too. You need the spindle and the hubs.

I have a set of Houser LT +2 a-arms for a 2006 450r and run 2005 spindle and hubs. I am pushing it on the camber adjustment though. The upper ball joint nut is flush with the end of the bolt threads.

It definitely handles better now but I think most of that has to do with setting the caster properly. It used to push in the turns but now it turns much better. I am probably going to switch back to the 2006 setup just to see if I can tell a difference.

got the quad ... need to swap out the a-arms. looking for arms that take 19.5" shocks
