06 450r Carb

i know there is about 10000 threads on this but what do i need to make the 06 450r carb on the 400ex. has anyone done an 06 carb.

i am not sure but i think you can only use 04-05 carbs...

I remember one guy using the '06 carb. Unsure of how it worked. The '06 carb is an FCR vs the '04-'05 carb is a round slide

I would recommend the '04-'05 carb. It is an easy install with one of my adapters. Here is a link to my install page.

thanks for the reply, iam going to give it a try i will take pics and see how it goes. any ideas what jetting i should start with. i have hfm slip, k&n, hotcam 1.
