I am looking into getting a LTR for racing XC. I currently race a heavily modified predator so I know that they are wide. If I went 4 1 front off set hipers and Z 400 rear hubs do you think that would be enough to narrow it down to run XC and approximatly how wide would that be front and rear, or do I need to do more. Any help and other suggestions would be helpful.

we run one with 4:1 hipers on stock a-arms. It fits ok at the local harescrambles. ITs a lil tight though. We are looking into shorte a-arms like -.5s

I'm lookin to narrow up my LTR a bit, i've done XC races with it at stock width and i realised its a little tight at speed. I know one of the guys i race with did -1 arms and 4:1 hipers and he's happy with it. I think i'm gonna do -1 arms and then eventually i was gonna get hipers, how i make out with just the arms will determine what offset i get on the wheels.

I run GT Thunder XC Arms and a -2 RPM Axle with 4+1 front Hipers and 5+4 Hipers on the rear. I also ise stock rear hubs and I'm at 47" wide front and rear. and I love it. I run a 13-37 gear ratio and everything works great in the tight stuff and will still run on the top end if needed

I just raced the IATVHSS Montazuma race with my 08 LTR. I have 4+1 front rims and z400 rear hubs. It was 47.25" wide in the front and 48" wide in the rear w/ 20" I-razors (wide tire). I will be running the rest of the IATVHSS series so we will see how it goes. Thus far the LTR has performed much better than my old predator. The ride is much better stock.

Note: 4+1 Hipers will make the front of the LTR wider than 4+1 alum. rims.

It is 1/2 total (1/4" each side) wider with Hiper 4-1's instead of Douglas/ITP aluminum 4-1s.

Riders still win races.

I race an LTR but I could probaly do just as well on any of the 450's. I am just most comfortable on the LTR.
