Graydon Proline Exhaust???

I am getting some motor work done to my 400EX and I want to also buy a full exhaust system for it. I was looking at the Graydon Proline but have not heard alot about it or seen to many people have them. Can anyone give me any info on this pipe? I was also looking at the LRD pipe too, is LRD better?

Hey man. I don't know alot about the Greydon. My friend has one on his Wolverine and he likes it. As for the 400ex, I strongly suggest the Curtis Sparks pipe. Tremendous h.p. gains. The torque is unbelievable. You should look into it. It is a great pipe.

i have a graydon and love it. tremendous mid to top end power. and you cant beat the red silencer. hears a pic that shows the hole pipe on my 400

The DMC system puts out 3% more horsepower than the Graydon on the dyno. For about the same price.

the FULL big gun exhaust with only the screen type spark arrester gives good power gains, and it doesnt cost as much as alot of them heres one pic of the headers

and one of the silencer, i have one that shows pretty much all of it too, if you want it, and one more thing, the pipe is ceramic coated, so it will never rust

The only thing bad thing about the Big Gun is that it heavily restricts flow on built motors.:D

yea, thats like why did that "team pami" put a big gun exhaust on that HUGE DS760? that exhaust has got to reduce the flow of that huge motor!!! And like you hott440ex if you have a 465 why do you have a bug gun race exhaust??? thats gota be taking away atleast 2-4hp!!! get a 440ex exhaust and you will have a much faster EX!

i was getting sick of the jackasses at white bros extending the length of time my pro meg was on backorder every week. at first it was gonna be here in two weeks, when the two weeks were up, they said it would be another month, so we waited a few weeks, called them again, they said it be about 2 more months, so we canceled the order and got the big gun in 3 days, because we already know it works on this motor, a friend has his 400 built the same way, and has the same exhaust, and its fine

I would go with the Sparks exhaust.

either SPARKS 440 exhaust or LRD's 440 exhaust, i dont believe the big gun would be nearly as good of an exhaust becuase its built for a slightly modded motor, and yours is an EXTREMELY modded motor!!!

i plan on getting an x-6 sometime in the future, but this is alot less restrictive than a slip on i was running before. it creates alot less heat not being restricted so much. so when i have the money, an x-6 will be on it, and the big gun will be up for sale

i'd say go buy yourself some +2+1 a-arms and works shocks instead of more motor mods

Are the Curtis Sparks pipes very loud as compared to others? Are they spark arrested at all? I was thinking about a White bros. R4 or a Supertrapp, I've heard Big Gun is a torque pipe, restrictive on high output engines, and very loud.

i agree on getting the a-arms and shocks first. i wasnt thinking about that at the time i posted that. i am ordering the a-arms and shocks pretty soon i think.

I would go with the Ducan Racing Double Barrel. I have one and i love it. I have a friend with the Duncan 440 national kit, and his quad flies. My two favorites are the Duncan and Curtis Sparks. I also have a friend with a Fischer Racing 440 and a Curtis sparks and his quad pulls. It's very loud, so is the Duncan. Definetly closed course exhaust's. I've gotten in trouble with neighbors because my exhaust is so loud.:devil

Does your friend have a spark arrestor in his Sparks pipe? I want to get a Sparks pipe, but I don`t think my mom would like it being that loud.
