hey guys I've got a question about wheels.

I'm getting Razr2's for christmas. Mom's doing the package deal all the way around. What wheels are stronger? Douglas 190's or ITP 190's?

I'm ordering from Rocky Mountain I think.

Also what do you guys think about Full ceramic brake pads?

I have ITP .190 rims right now and I'm not to pleased with them.I just bent the crap out of my right rear rim over the weekend.I'm going to switch to douglas and see how they hold up.

my itp .190 rear rims have 3 flat spots in them each. doesnt help going over 75 feet and dropping from 30 feet up either :blah beadlocks would be a more valuable investment! have you told your mother lately that you love her??? lol always works! :macho

HONESTLY, don't do either. Your factory wheels are MUCH stronger than either of the two ou listed. If you really want new wheels, i would do some major butt kissing and get race wheels! I had my douglas .190's for 2 onths before i found my first bend!

yeah the factory wheels are just as strong plus they have a rolled bead unlike those other rims. don't change out your rims unless your going with a beadlock rim (in that case i would reccomend hi-pers)

Or get rings.

I've been running my ITP 190 fronts in XC races for about 2 years and I have bent them once. I beat it out with a hammer and they are just fine. I will most likely invest in rings for the wheels but at a later date.

DOUGLAS.......They only choice. From what I have heard, ITP uses a weaker aluminum than Douglas does. Don;t know how much truth is in that but that is what somone said.(And it wasn;t just a regular ole JOE)

Any rim that is aluminum is good since they are made to bend and give. That way they can be repaired out on the trail with a quick hit of a hammer....Also much lighter than the stock wheel.

i have had 3 sets of douglas rims (6 rims) and had no MAJOR problems, got a couple nice sized dents in em though... a bad thing about new rims in general is that they lose their new look fast, but thats the case with pretty much everything.

I have problems with stock Honda rims. I have destroyed several front rims in situations that I don't think they should have bent. I have one rear rim that is bent and makes it look like my axle is bent. I don't understand you guys saying Stock Honda wheels are stronger. When stock Honda front rims lasted me 1 race. My Itp 190's lasted me 14 races and are still going strong.
