06 to 05

i have an 06 er with lonestar arms,swing arm with linkage ,peps all round engine needs rebuild i also have a brand new 05 i picked up last week still in the box
so what i did was swaped over the arms swing arm and peps
the 06 airbox and flat slide carb onto the 05

enyone see eny problems with this i was told that the 06 carb
was better than the 05 or should i stick with the 05 carb ?

then put the 05 stock parts on the 06 bike along with the 05 carb
to sell out

The 06 does have a better carb. I don't kno what the 05's have, but I think the 06 is a 41mm FCR????

And you probably had to use the 06 spindles with the arms because I think they are different???

Other than that there shouldn't be any problem... I wish I had a kicker on mine. Try switching the hoods and headlight tho, they look like chit on the older r's...:p

i was thinking of 06 carb jetting on the 05 engine
im runing o6 air boxa and full pipe
jeting is 162 main 42 pilot 55 leek
also the 06 carb dosent have the hot start will this cause eny
problems with starting
