I'm getting into mx, and soon i'm going to buy an aftermarket front end, I have a good idea what I want but this can be a good thread for other people to look at too, so post all your aftermarket front ends, what you payed for them, and what kind of riding you bought them for.

In the pix above my bike has 3:2s on it, now it has 4:1's on it.
Almost exactly 50" at the bottom of the front tire's.
400exrapes
04-19-2008, 04:48 PM
okay and with 3:2 offset with +3 arms is not permitted for ama racing right? and do you know how much +3 arms go for? ... keep em coming everyone i know theres more of you out there. tons more.

Yeah with 3:2's it was over 50"
All LT SMC arms are $575
Hey d3ktrix how did your gtt rear end compare to your new one. I am still confused on which one to get but I am thinking the gtt.

For small whoops there about the same.
But for the huge whoops and large impacts like casing/overclearing jumps at the MX track the LT has an advantage, and more plush.
Stock vs GTT theres a massive difference
GTT vs LT its a minimal difference.
Couldn't really tell ya if its worth the extra money or not.

Alright man thanks a lot for you help for all the more racing I plan on doing and if its not that much of a difference between LT I will just get a GTT rear end then.

I like motowoz shocks but the only reason you love that front end and say its one of the best on the market is because you dont have a houser/ pep front end on that list of shocks you put up. lol but I still love your quad

TRX450RACER174- How are those fox evos working out for you with the houser a arms? Also do they have alot of body roll like I hear alot of people talking about? Another thing is what is the offset on your front wheels to make it 50" with +2.5 a arms. I talked to you about that houser clearance package earlier this year but I just didn't have the money so hopefully houser has that same package again this year so I can pick one up.

They were great for the time i got to ride on them until i got hurt thats why i haven't been on here for a couple of months, but back to answer your ? I don't notice anymore body roll in them than any other shock that i have rode or maybe it's just my riding style that lets me not notice it cause they are plush.
My wheels are 4+1 Hipers or what the call 4+1 and my front end is just shy of the 50in mark.
Yeah i'm almost bumbed i spent the money on the front end cause i'm still out for 6 months still but hopefully i can ride again i miss being out on the track.

I ride a YFZ, but If I were buyin a Honda it would probably be the same as Slosh's Walsh/PEP setup
Walsh/Fox, Walsh/PEPPB1's or JB/Fox, JB/PEP PB1's are the best setup In moy Opinion, with the Walsh Float front end being my #1 choice

In the front its a tab just like u say, in the back the bolt goes right through the main tube of the a-arm just like any other brand.

My guess is just for style. To be able to curve the front tube lower.
That or to protect the bottom shock heim.
I don't see there being any performance or strength advantages.
Just a guess though.

nice! thank you for your help.
im still wondering why lsr chooses to run them this way. i also have noticed after studying many LT a-arms that a lot more travel is achievable by place the mount under the arm. this lsr moves the shock out wards more and doesn't compromise ground clearance when done this way.
i'd like to know what others think???

Well I guess I'll post mine.. Houser +1 a-arms, JH racing triple rate revalves, streamline braided lines and billet clamps.
Nothing special, but it works great if you like to ride the trails and track!

thanks man! reason why you never seen that combo is because this one is custom. i couldn't afford to buy LT arms so my cousin just customized these for me. seems to work good i can't wait to get a full ride on them.
