well had my 2005 400ex for 2 years now and I am ready to sell it and move up to the 450.

this guy i know has a 2006 450er for sell,(100% stock) it has never seen the mud or dirt, its been in storage all its life has about 2 hours on it - i would rate it a perfect 10. still has the nip's on the tires.

whats a good deal $ ( fair price )

in other words if you were to do it all over again on your 450 what would you be willing to pay, if you bought it stock ?

Thanks for your input.....

thanks BadinBlack

just talk to the owner again, he bought it in dec 2006 brought it home parked it in the garage and a week later got in to a car wreak then had to have neck surgury, and was told not to ride - so it has basicly never been riden ?

what should i offer
again a fair price ?

anybody else got a idea on what its worth

i got my 06 used last year in aug. i paid $4600 from a small dealer, this included tax, reg., and licensing fees. i'd probably offer him $4000 because you still are gonna have to pay the other fees when you go to put under your name.

Id say it sounds good, here the 04/05 are all priced at 3500, some into the 4's and all 06+ are above 4k, not saying they wouldnt take less but the starting price...

What is the VIN number?

There are some recalls on that quad. You should make sure to get them done. Check the 450r forum at the top.

1 is for the a-arms, 2 is for the throttle, and the 3rd has to do with starting. They have to take the side case off to replace something.

You got a steal. I would have paid 5,300 for a brand new 2006. I bought my wife's 2008 for 6,150 OTD. The best price I got on a brand new 2006 was $5,700 OTD.

There is no need at all to break in before adding the HRC kit. However, if you're adding a full aftermarket exhaust, you'd be better off getting a HotCam (a II most likely), removing your airbox lid and rejetting.
