jetting wow..

so i tore into my stock carb today because im putting the 450r carb on.

come to find out, i have been running a keihin 38 pilot and keihin 155 main..

this is with the motor mods in my sig

im shocked, seeing as most people run stock engines with slipons at 42 pilots etc.. and mine runs great

in the 450 carb i put in a 50 pilot and 185 main as zrpilot suggested so we'll see what happens once i get the throttle situation figuired out.

haha idk dallas, the carb is gonna be sick but im still in love with 250f's haha

i know me too, oh well. it should run 100 times better with the new carb and proper jetting

i need to contact the other dealer, because the local one didnt have a fuel hose, hotstart plunger or a throttle cable..

i have an extra peice of a brake cable off my old quad that fits in the carb so i may switch it onto the EX cable and see how that works.. if it does ill luck out!!

one question, is it possible to plug the hotstart with a bolt and gasket maker.. or do you need to do the plunger etc...

OK, guess i'll have to putem up for sale then when I getem. Got my Roll Heelguards bought, Motor is at Colby's now, but now I gotta try and sell the nerfs that I dont want to buy another pair,then I gotta figure out how im gonna paint my lower arms. I got my arms full trying to get my quad ready for QOTM.

on the 450r carb i put on a buddies 400 we just left the hot start plunger in it and filled the end with rtv sealant. we also drilled and tapped for the stock 400 throttle cable

the fcr carb is the one most are going to, even the 04/05 450r's run better with it

when you said a 180 main it sounded big but for the older 450 carb that is pretty close

little update: found out that i left my gasket maker at my friends house, but i found a bolt that fits the hotstart good, and i looked through my taps and found one that will make the 450r carb accept the 400ex throttle cable, but i didnt do it yet as im not sure if itll be strong enough.

other than that, i just have to pop that sucker in there and see if she runs:devil:
