air/fuel mixture screw (06 yfz)

my 06 yfz is giving me some carb issues. i have it at
185mj
48pilot
ncqv 4th clip
air/fuel mixture 2 1/2

it runs great except when idling back down which it wants to stay idled up for a few seconds then dropping back to normal idle slowly. i think it is just the air mixture screw,but i dont really know which way to turn it. out is richer, and in is leaner? thanks for the advice.

Yes. Go richer. Hanging idles are often a sign of a lean pilot circuit (and the fuel screw is part of the pilot circuit).
