FMF Powerbomb and Megabomb headers?b

I just put a White bro's E2 slip on on my new 400ex, I really like it but its a tad louder than I anticipated. Would one of the FMF mega bomb or power bomb headers quiet it down some? Do they actually improve performance or is it a gimmick? It would be nice if I could some more low end torque.

yea i had the hmf sport series and it was a tad bit loud so i bought the powerbomb.. and i love the way it sounds!!!! it makes it quieter and ALOT deeper... as for power i dont really know because it was never jetted right to start with but now i have it dialed in.. ohh yea i have a stock motor.. i know that a built motor will benefit from a header more than i will

I have a 440 with a powerbomb header, E-Series slip on and yes it increased my lowend torque and response a good bit. Can tell you exactly how much because I also put in new valves, and a stage 3 cam when I done the work.

I dont think the expansion chamber type idea is a gimmick, if you look at Joe byrd's (i think) Dasa motor, the Dasa pipe on that is custom and has a type of expansion chamber on it. Nothing like the FMF in looks, but similar purpose i imagine.

Ok, I'm thinking of getting the powerbomb. The best price I have found is $218 shipped. Anyone know of a better deal anywhere?

Ok, I got the powerbomb header last week, it is awesome! Didn't make it much quieter, but alot deeper and mellower and just better sounding. It does idle quite a bit quieter tho. I felt just as much or even more of a power gain than I did from my WB E2 slip on! I can feel it through the whole rpm range. Looks sweet too, I love it!:D
