Quad Tech Hood w/duct for 250R

I have a same as new QT hood for a 250r. Its the flat style with the duct up front with the four holes. I bought it new when I was redoing my '88 with intentions of cutting the front fenders. I found a like new set of full oem fenders with the headlight and I just cant make myself cut the fenders. I did put the QT hood on and looked at it for a few months but I think with full fenders the headlight looks better. The fourwheeler was never ridden or even out of the garage with the hood on it. I'm gonna put it on ebay in a few weeks but I thought I would give it a chance on here first. Lets here some offers. I'll get a picture of it in a day or two so I can e-mail it to ya.

personally man, with that attitude on this forum it wont sell for anywheres over $150.... You should have took that $250, you will regret it later down the line, plus if your so worried about selling it just ebay it, but I would bet that it goes up on ebay more than once for what your asking (not trying to be an ***)

If I was worried about selling it I would have taken the $250. I doubt I will have any regrets in life over a Quad Tech hood.

Actually to me the worst part about it all was you opening your mouth. You and myself have had a few pm's over this and first of all for you to be a WKU student you have some sorry spelling. Second if you know of so many hoods that are cheaper than this one why dont you buy one of them, or all of them? The three hoods that you say you will sell me for $575 and deliver to me are they Quad Tech and are they new? You keep asking me to tell you who has offered what. If i wanted to sell them bad enough I would put them on here but they are fine were there at right now but they arent worth 300. Unless I find a red one then i guess they will just sit in my garage. But i was just tellin you on here that thing isnt going to bring 300 dollars if you would have got 200 on here you would have benn doing good you might think its worth more then that and that is fine. But I have looked at everyone that has came across this board for the last year because am lookin for a red one with a grill and i know what they will bring but put it on ebay who knows somebody might give more than 300 for it you never know if i found the right one you never know what i would give for it.

its not the fact of having the regret, its that you will realize that it wont sell for that price. They may not be made anymore but you dont see the price of 250r's stock selling for $7000 do you? No you dont, they only sell for what people are willing to pay and I personally think you will never get $300 for that since its (as stated before) the ugly QT hood. When you find the right person to put it to, then you will sell it, but I guarantee it will not be someone on here. Ebay and craigslist is your best bet

thats your fault--- u didnt give more that 180 for that hood when quad-tech made it a cpl years back- ???so why do you think its worth so much now???? Seriously look around on the sight and look at some 250r stuff. U might was well keep most of them in the shop and P*SS on them instead of selling the parts. No, your wrong. It has been funny since page two. The guy starts a thread with an item which he wishes to sell, even though he knows it is overpriced and openly states it himself.
Every time some makes an offer, or considers dealing with the guy, he flames or uses his negative attitude to put them down and bring himself up.

First reply from a member regarding anything other than a picture request:

1. "I think you answered that question yourself". "I know thats a little high but it will bring that or I'll just keep it and ask more for it in a couple years."

2. Chris begins his negativity in his reply:

3. Next negative statement: "That earthquake must have shook you up real good this morning."

I am going to stop the quotes here on the second page, because I don't have anymore time to waste on this.

My point in all of this is that Chris comes on here trying to sell a product. He knows, and states that this item is overpriced, but continues to try and sell it.
Now I very much realize that he has every right in the world to sell an item for any price he wishes, but that is not the issue. He simply conducts his communication towards others in an unreasonable manner.

Everything would have been fine if he would have shown some simple respect to his potential customers. When they began inquiring about his price, he immediately became defensive in his tone an attitude. This is not the way you handle people when you are trying to do business.

Let me ask you how would you feel if you went to your local Wal-Mart and tried to get them to match someone else's price, or if you complained about the price of something, which we all do, and an employee responded to you with an attitude such as the one Chris uses when responding to potential buyers?
I can answer this for you if you wish.

Let me give you a scenario even more relevant to this forum.

How would you feel if you headed down the street to price a new 08 450R, and upon trying to deal with a salesman on the price, they told you to get the hell out of their store if you didn't like the sticker price on the bike? You would either ask to speak with their supervisor or probably complain to a Customer Service Representative at Honda Motor Co. if they didn't take care of it at your local dealership. Chris obviously doesn't realize this, however.

The whole point of my argument is that you do not treat people this way, especially when they are interested in a product you have for sale. You do treat people with respect, however, whether they are satisfied with your price or not. A simple "no thanks" or "my price is not negotiable" would have done fine. The degrading and negative attitude is not necessary.
Take any business management class and you will learn this.

On another note, I realize that I may have been slightly out of line when calling Chris a "loser". I do, however, feel that others such as the member I quoted earlier felt the same way by this point.

How many other people on this classifieds forum have you ever seen treat people with this sort of lack of respect?
I have been on here off and on since 2004, and honestly can't remember an instance such as this, unless someone has taken someones part or money wrongfully.

I think I have made my point here, and I plan to leave it at that. I am not going to reply to any flames to this post; you are entitled to your own opinion about this situation as am I and the readers who take the time to view it.

I said the hood was high because I was asking more than it cost new. I was asking that much simply because Its new and they(QT) dont make the 250r stuff anymore. Everything else that I see that is no longer being made has a high price on it but apparently its against the damn law for me to do it. Funny part about it all is most of the people complaining about it had no intention whatsoever to buy the hood if I had have asked $10 for the thing. I'm sorry that a 250r hood has just ruined some of yalls lives but all I can say is get over it. And yes I have made some smart a/s/s comments but thats how I answer most dumb a/s/s remarks. Mods or Admin you can delete the whole dang thread if you see the need, I dont care. Maybe we should form a group of people from this thread and everything that gets put on here for sale would have to be ran through them to insure that a "fair" price was asked before you could post it in the for sale section.
