How much oil?

Hoe much oil is an 05 trx supposed to hold.? Sorry for the stupid question. lol:rolleyes:

until its in the sight glass on the motor side.

For the tranny side, pull the 10mm bolt below the oil fill and fill it until oil comes out the hole.

Heres a shot from the 05 Service manual

I have a funnel that measure oil in CC's.
I put 850ccs in the engine side and 650cc's in the tranny side. This brings both sides perfect in the inspection holes.

I usually just use that as a good reference point, however if you use the sight holes correctly, you cant go wrong. Plus its easier to just pour and go, rather than doing all the measuring.

I just like being able to dump in the correct amount and go. Not add some, run it, wait a min, add more, run it, wait, add more.

My funnel has an on/off valve on it and measurements on the side.
I just fill it to the correct amount with the valve closed, then open it and let it flow in.
Perfect every time, first time.
Got it at walmart for $3.
