OUR TIME TO HELP

As event promoters in the area and always in contact with many 0ff-road riders/drivers and also in contact with many of the Southern California Motorcycle/ATV/UTVA/Off-Road shops, we've received calls and e-mails asking about the new "Cal-City Off-Road fee!" Below is a press release that will explain the structure of the fee and the reasons for it.
Please remember that California City is perhaps one of the last bastions of off-road recreational riding/driving. Almost every OHV area in Southern California has been closed or is about to be downsized or strictly limited. Consequently, we must keep the Cal-City desert open and viable. They need help and this is the time for the off-road community to pay back for all the great times you have enjoyed in California City all these years. Moreover, this is the time to step up and help our community that for years, has helped the off-road and dirt riding community AT NO CHARGE!
Where to buy the permit?: Cal City Police Department; Borax Bill Park (just off 20-Mule Team Parkway); or download the application form at http://ccpd.homestead.com/DIRT.html and mail it before coming to the desert.

For Immediate Press Release...
