He's not really talking about "lifting it" perse'. I beleive he's jsut wanting to level it out instead of having the typical 2wd nose dive.

ummm i don't see anything wrong with lifting a 2wd anyways the stadium trucks are 2wd so it kinda makes a lot of sense especially if your gonna do it the way i'm doing my ranger with the prerunner fenders and hood and suspension.

Rough Country has blocks pretty cheap. Considered doing a shackle flip instead?

People lift 2WD trucks for the same reason they sell a V6 Camaro.

They wan't the looks but don't nescisarily need, can afford, or want the performance associated.

A shackle flip is a kit that flips your shackle bracket to lift the truck.

if u dont go wheelin with it then theres nothing wrong with lifting a 2wd, it may not be as desirble when u go to sell it but will look alot better, i go offroad with my stock 99 f150 2wd and i dont push myself but muddy rutted up trails it does fine.

I would do a add a leaf and them maybe a 1in block, i hate to see these nice trucks with huge 3 to 4 or even 5in blocks the cast ones can break i would reccomend a billet set if your dead set on blocks.

I use Bridgestone AT Dueler "Revo's". 31x10.5R15 wheel on my Jeep Wrangler Sahara. They come in 33x12.5R15 also.

Best Tire I've ever run. Braking and water traction are excellent. Mine have lasted almost 60k miles as well.

Not a mudding tire, but it works great on the road, dirt, gravel, and even works ok in the sand. If I want to mud I break out the ATV. ;) The Jeep jsut get's the ATV there and back, also nice to cruise the Dunes in. :)

Here's a closeup of the tread.

also selling lifkits for 2wd trucks is kinda like vortech selling superchargers for v6 mustangs, nothing wrong with that

What kit are you gonna run up front, what do you plan on using the truck for, budget?

its not a bad idea, wouldnt get hung up on mud and snow as much. the leveling kits for the '04-'08 f-150's are flying off the shelves (4x4) because people dont like the nose dive. my dad ordered one for his '06.

i'm actually currently pricing out all the stuff to turn my ranger into a budget prerunner and eventually buy another truck and then drop a 302 in the ranger and hit up the tough truck series around here
