450r clutch hard to pull

I have an 04 450 and the clutch is really hard to pull. THe clutch is good and the basket seems to be in good shape too. ANy suggestions?

Check your cable first. They are cheap to replace and/or lube and might make all the difference in the world.

After that if it is not the clutch assembly itself, a nice pulling clutch perch/lever that uses bearing joints instead of standard joints really helps. I suggest ARC Levers

Buy a new cable if you cant remember the last time it was places, also grooves in the basket will cause this, but not as bad as a dry cable. I got sick of mine pullling hard, I ordered an MSR clutch lever with hotstart (around $35 if I remember) and a motion pro cable, pulls much easier now, make sure you also keep lubing it. I usually do mine after every wash, and I wash it every time I ride it.

I got myself an RTC lever and it is soooooo easy to pull, I can pull it with one finger now. As soon as my buddy felt how easy it was to pull he went out and got one.
