Im watching the Moto X Championship step up. These bikes are maxxing out 35'. How high do you think a quad could go? 20-25? Has anyone tried? Id love to give it a shot. I have a bad leg so i cant handle too rough of a landing, though.

if they were to give quads the same amount of start room i dont think it would be anything close to the bikes. maybe 10-15 ft. i may be bad wrong but thats the way id see it happening. it would be pretty cool though

i think it would be hard to get over the bar, considering on a bike you can whip it out and brake to get over. when on a quad its more like pin it and hope youll make it haha

Well the quads would probly need a little more run. Most of the bikes are going 1st gear, some second. A quad would probly need 3rd. You would still have to keep the quad as vertical as possible so the front tires dont hit the bar. I think it would be fun no matter how high u dont go. haha

They will fly higher than you think. One of the hills I used to hit - it would send you 10-13 feet from where I was leaving the ground. This was 1st gear, but not even all the speed it would do.

3rd gear would be suicide on the type of jump they are using. The impact is pretty hard even in 1st.

as hard as the bikes are landing, even though quad wouldn't be coming from near as high, it would be torture on the quad and the rider.

I would think so. Everytime i've aired out my quad and dropped vert like a rock with no forward momentum it hurt like hell. Landing uneven coming straight down would hurt even more! :eek2: You would see a lot of broken axles/swingers that's for sure :p

Thats what makes it interesting! The jump doesnt count if they dont ride away

lol....true that, I would think that Faast bars would be pretty much a necessity.
