trying to fix 1986 trx125 ?valves? carb?

i managed to get the old toy running ildes smooth but when you open throttle to speed up it boggs down bad or should i say falls on its face you can ease in the throttle and does better but still dont have the power of a 50cc and its a 125cc i think the prob lies either in the carb or valves anyone know what the valves should be set at i cleaned the carb with some carb cleaner remember though idles great just boggs bad when you dont ease the throttle any help is great

installed new carb today still same prob going to try valve adjustments next. im thinking the prob may also lie in the timing chain i have a new one so that might be it also .

Put a new plug in for starters.

Check and make sure the timing is dead on, pull the jets outta the carb and make sure they are clear. And make sure is getting fuel and that it isn't old and stale.

has new fuel plug and carb i will check the timing next is there an easy way to check on these old engines?
