How do you check to see if one is in time? Rebuilt the motor and just can't seem to figure out why it won't run. Any help is appreciated.

you have to pull the two plugs out of the left side of the motor. then turn the motor around counterclockwise with a ratchet and a 17mm socket going through the bottom hole, while watching the top hole and align the "T" mark with the notch in the hole. that is when your crank is at tdc. then you have to pull the valve cover off and check the marks on the camshaft. there are two long marks on each side of the cam sprocket (looking at it from the right side of the quad). these two marks should be parallel with the top of the head. good luck hope this helps

very nice illustration blastereaten250:) . as you can see by the pic the two long lines run parallel to the top of the head and the one short one goes strait up.
