well a JP LT250r/500r!!
well, it's running. just breaking in the engine right now. i have a new graves seatcover on the way, and i haven't had the Q pipe installed yet...frame needs alittle tweaking. when i strip it down again to make it shine, i'll have that done.
it's got a HRD540 engine, pwk 40.5 carb,(unfortunately) dg pipe and sparks big bore silencer. the front end is a trx250 laegers t pin, and the rear is a lt250r round housing with a trx250r linkage.

How well does this handle? because the stock lt250s handle like pooooo how did the 250r link bolt up for you on the lt chssie?

it's a jp frame...250r geometry. look at how narrow the front rails are together. it was made for the trx parts. it's not a stock lt250r frame.

oh ok. got you, there was a guy with a mxed lt 250 by me that wanted 5200 and i was like dude your never gonna get that and hes like yeah i will look at it i was like it handles like crap... i didnt know the Jp used 250r stuff that thing must fly then!

vibrations are very slight...i had the crank balanced and between the antivibe stem and oury wide grips, it's not bad. it's not as smooth as an R engine, but it's got twice the power....i mean it's got a counterbalancer. it's not a cr or kx500....

yeah the 500 doesnt vibrate that bad. I notice it at idle when Im first warming it up, but when Im riding I dont notice it. pretty sure my old MX blaster vibrated worse :D

my 500 doesn't viberate that much either...just idle...easy fix...stay on the gas!

Just curious about a couple things

How hard was it to put the LT500 motor in a LT250 frame? Were there any mods or is it a straight swap?

With the geometry adjustments how does it compare to a 250R?

this frame was made for the engine and the 250r parts... it's the jp outlaw 500 frame...so as far as modifing, the pipe is the only thing.

if u go on quadracerhq.com, under hybrids, their is a sticky with step by step instructions and pics to do the swap with a stock lt250r frame.

it's hard to compare to my laegers 250r, because it has so much power...it steers really sharp, but u sit alittle higher on the quad, definately has a lt250r sitting postion. the susp. is also pretty comparible to the 250r. not going to lie though, the R still feels better, but this is no slouch either.

i sold a jp lt frame to someone in ny years ago,it wouldnt happen to be frame # 8 would it ? i converted the no link to trx linkage cause no link it came with it handled horrible sat way too tall in back,ihavent seen any others with the honda linkage,nice job on build,if same frame should have some pics somewhere from when i built in 1992
