New owner, got some questions

i just picked up an 04 yfz, got a few questions.

When i kill it sometimes it wont have enough juice to turn the motor over, but i dont seem to have to problem when i just turn the key off. wats up there do i just need to leave the battery on the charger for a while? or could it be like a alternater problem?

What are some signs of running too hot?

i can like pick up the backend of it up and the shock settles more than i think it should is this a typical sign of a shock needing a rebuild on these stock rear shocks or is that large sag the way its supposed to be?

How much oil does it hold after you drain it? i feel like a retard asking this one but wheres the oil filter located?(i ran 2 strokes all my life this is new to me)

Should i be running it with the lights on high? i thought i read this somewhere.

you can adjust some of the sag out of the shock if you want. as for the oil you might like this

the oil filter cover is in front of the clutch cover

thanks for the info, Are most the parts from the 04-08 interchangable?

on the older yfz's if the headlights were taken off there was a proble with battery charging. Yamaha sent out a service bulletin on it and issued a part that fixes the problem. if you go to your local dealer they can tell you more about that. if they can't tell you anything pm me and i will get you the part number from work.
