axis rear shock

i bought a set of axis shocks for my 400ex. the rear shock is very bouncy. when i push down on it it rebounds very fast and kindof pogo's a few times before stopping. do you think it is blown? any ideas? thanks

Does it have rebound adjustment? Even if it does and its turned all the way up it still shouldnt do that. It sounds blown to me or just low on fluid or whatever.
