Here's my Pro Armor Nerfs wtih Heel Guards. You utilize your stock pegs. I like how they go so far forward instead of cutting across before the oil cooler.

Too bad that MOST AC Products are a pain to put on.

i have the same as gatekeeper..although i painted the mounting bars blk yesterday..but i think imma go back n paint the entire thing black and replace the red straps since mine are worn..

although i think the pro armor is definitely a lot better..just the other day after a good rain i went mudding and was rippin some stuff up when i was fish tailin out of a puddin and hit some stuff that gripped and wheelied but my foot still managed to slip off behind the nerf ...i didnt get hurt thankfully but this definitely isnt something i was expecting to happen with the nerf bar..so id recommend something that protects a little better

(i had an accident when i was like 13 on a 3 wheeler where my foot slipped off and got stuck between the back tire..ripped the skin off my calf and the inside of my thigh got a 3rd degree burn from the hott motor) so i definitely want to recommend maybe something a lil better then what i have for this reason...

I have just been checking around and I think I am going to go with the Bling Star Notorious nerf bar and heel guard with pegs. Looks like about $245. Should look pretty bad ***.

Thats why I ordered Blingstar DC racers and some heelguards....That and the DG's aluminum finish reminds me of an old lawn chair:blah:

Ya and their light as hell to. I used to run dg carbon steel nerf's and a fat lil 10 year old came along and stood on the edge of one and bounced a little and bent it down. :eek2:

i had a set of ac and moose before my blingstars and they both didnt hold up. i think it depends on the rider on how well nerfs hold up though. i mostly dune ride and the 60 to 80 foot jumps were hard on the nerfs with heel guards because i land far back on them and would bend the heal guards. once they were bent i would land and when my rear shock compressed the bent heel guard would rub my rear tires. i am sure if i didnt ride the way i do the other ones would have lasted but so far my blingstars have held up for sometime now. you might have to do it the way i did and try and try and try until you find the right ones.

hey, i seen those and was inte3rested but i am getting a 450 next weekend and i think it has ac nerfs (no heel guards) and if it does i am gonna get a set that does. i like the rock but since im known for beating the hell out of my bikes he wants me to get rath because they are indestructible. Have you worked them hard? pics? in bends breaks? ty.

BlingStar DC Racer Nerfs with built in Xtreme Pegs.

Normally $350, were being clearanced by BlingStar for $160. Not sure if they have any left.

broke a set of moose pro peg and had to upgrade. IMS roll pegs are by far the best imo.

I have ac racing pro peg nerfs on my 400ex now. I gotta throw them out though there bent down so bad you cant stand on them anymore. last thing from ac racing ill ever buy.

Ive had blingstar nerfs on my 450R and i snapped them off after a hard landing. I dont think ill buy another set i dont trust em.

Ive had Rath racing nerfs on my 450R for about a year now. The black powdercoat has held up perfect! And there not even the tiny bit bent. Hands down best nerfs you can buy!!!

I have loosely fit them on my 400ex from my 450R just to see. It all lines up perfectly. Only one modification needed to the front bracket to go around the oil tank. You can retro fit Rath nerfs onto your 400ex.(ones for a 04/05 450R)

So needless to say im going to order a set and modify the front bracket to clear the oil tank. Ill take pics step by step and post a how to on retro fitting Rath 450r nerfs on your 400ex. look for it soon.

Mine are on the way--as of late last week they still had some polished ones in stock, no gloss or textured black, oh well couldn't pass up for $160
