i need sum help with my chain on my trx250x ..iv got about 4-6 inch's of slack on the chain and it keeps coming off so how do i fix this problem

replace your chain and sprockets...the chain has to be beyond it's limits...

but to measure it's adjustment, you need to have rider weight on the machine. then you need to have about an 1 5/8( i think...been so long since i have had a 300ex/250x) slack between the sprockets...

the guy i bought the quad from said it was a fairly new chain ...he also made the comment that it had 2 teeth less then stock on front and back...should i take a link out or just save sum money and replace it with a bigger and better chain

i don't quite understand how you can have so much slack if it is a new chain...did you measure it like i suggested?

if it is already down 2 links, then it needs replaced if you cannot get the proper adjustment.

to adjust it, loosen the 2 allen head bolts at the back of the sowing arm and then stick your allen wrench in one of the slots next to the rear sprocket...pull that towards you...measure again with rider weight on the bike and adjust as necessary

thanks man that helped ALOT i got just about all the slack out of it..theres only about 1 3/4 of slack and its almost perfect with me on it
