ok, I just found out about the pro fab kit that is a 400 sleeve pressed into a 300 cylinder.
I was looking at completed auctions on ebay, and not many were this cheap, but one sold for 140 and it was a 400 cylinder w/ wiseco 11:1 piston.
couldnt i just get a used 400 sleeve pressed out of a 400 cylinder, press the stock 300 out, bore it and press in the 400 sleeve, run whatever 400 piston came in the auction, bolt it back together and call it good?
or does it have a to be a custom piston? if I were able to use a stock 400 piston, would the cr stay about the same as if it were in a 400 or would it increase a bit because of the smaller combustion chamber in the head?
