Heartland 10-Hour Challenge

Fun Valley, IA - The IATVHSS is proud to announce the introduction of The Heartland 10-Hour Challenge, an endurance race, which will be held on November 7-8, 2008.

The first ever 10-Hour Heartland Challenge will begin at noon and finish at 10PM. The 10-Hour Challenge will take place at Iowa's premier quad facility, Fun Valley. Fun Valley was once Iowa's favorite ski location but has now been transformed to the #1 quad facility in the state. Fun Valley will provide a unique 10-hour track that includes a motocross section, cross-country, hare scramble, and other surprises.

It will be a very intense endurance race like never seen before. There will be 12 classes racing all at the same time, with NO breaks. Each team will be allowed up to 3 riders per team with as many quads. All teams will be allowed to use only one quad at a time, all other quads will be held in a secure location. There will be no breaks or time-outs during the race, which means that you will not lose the lead that you have on the other teams.

This will be a true endurance race that is designed for the Pro’s on down through the amateurs, and features the toughest class of all, the Ironman class. We are also very excited to be able to offer the very first 3-Hour Challenge for youth riders with 5 different classes for ages 4-15. The 3-Hour Challenge teams will be just like the big boys with up to 3 riders with as many quads without any breaks.

We are currently seeking sponsor to join us in entertaining the world here in the Heartland. Our guaranteed purse and entry fees will be announced once we have finished securing our sponsorship packages. We will also be offering pre-registration for the event via our webpage: www.Heartland10hr.com

Other additions are a 3 hour UTV race

I think Carlisle will be a great location for the event.....it seemed like the track was longer then Mud Valley. Also, a few more open sections.....a plus for my LTR!

Thank you for the concern for the fun valley crew. They have put a lot into their facility to transform it from a ski facility to a race facility. A mutual decision was made between fun valley & IATVHSS to move it. We are very pleased to let you know that the fun valley crew will be in Carlisle for the race helping out. They are a class act and we enjoy working with them.

Todd Macke will be there racing the Ironman class again. Please Please Please Please tell me they will run transponders instead of scanning!!!! The stop and scan method really slowed me down and takes to much time and causes scoring confusion.

Also, please give details on the color backgrounds for each class.

Factory Backed by Monster Kawasaki!!!
