Anyone running the old 250r gold rims?

i bought a rim of ebay the gold front 250r rim with a holeshot tire mounted for 10 bucks and anther 17 for shipping i didnt look well so im tring using black hi temp paint which is tough stuff on the rim and see how it hold to mud and the elements befor i would paint all for wheels, i figure its a cheaper alternitve to powder

i put my set of Gold R wheels on the wifes 400 for a few rides while i was getting her wheels PC. you could tell it wasnt meant to be but i got used to it...

In Dirtwheels a while back, some guy had an awesome 450r!

He had aftermarket uncut white plastics, 250r gold rims, red frame, and custom graphics made to look like the white 250r's but with "450r" instead.

Looked so retro and sick.

The gold 250r wheels would look good on a red 400ex imo.(or white aftermarket plastic!) A blue seat cover would help to give it that retro look also.(blue parts wouldnt hurt either)

If you want a pic of the 450 with them, try the 450R forum. I know there is a guy here with a 450R that has the gold 250R wheels.
