I don't think it is a good idea. I am running 25" Holeshot ATR's on 12X7" ITP rims, and while mostly they handle nicely, I did pick up some bump steer and it really really fights me when in 4wd (like it has lockers).

I think 27" is way over the top. If you actualy NEED 27's or a monster mud bogger, you need to get a bigger machine......

2wd Ranchers handle more like a sport quad than a ute. I use to bust out big air on mine. To me, a lift and huge tires, is just a ticket to ruining a great little trail quad!!!

I have a 07 4X4 Racher 420 with 27" ITP XTR's which are steel radials, making them even heavier. I Also have 14" SS wheels, which also adds weight and I have plenty of power. I've never had one problem out of it. They scrub with someone riding on the back, but didnt damage tires or plastic even after about 12 total hours riding with the girl on the back. Also, I'm 6'4" 245 so overall, theres a lot of extra weight and still lots of power. It was a little too much with the chick on the back, but I was willing to make the sacrifice ;)
