Compression Test

How does this decompressor work. If I put a compression tester on the motor when it is cold and crank the engine with the e-start. should it give me the correct reading or will it be lower. Would it help to warm up the engine and then put a compression test on it in the same manner. what about doing a compression check with rolling it down a hill in fifth gear?

Need some help on doing a simple compression check. not used to all these valves and decompressor things.

why woudl you roll it down a hill? that seems weird, sure it would work..i just dont see why.

to be true, id do it warm, but im sure it wont make THAT much difference
