View Full Version : Rear lowering links?

There is a rear lowering link for a 250R on the classifieds area and I'd like to have my bike about an inch lower in the back.

What I'm worried about though is that the extra leverage on the shock may lessen the dampening ability of the back shock? I don't even know how it works... Does it replace a piece of the linkage or what?

Or, worse, it may break when I land a big jump. I don't ride MX but I do a lot of jumping and crazy downhills and stuff. Will it break on me?

Any feedback?

any type of lowering devise, brackets, or strut will change the leverage ratio on the shock. and if you try to jump the quad the frame will hit the ground before the shock bottoms out. what type of rear shock are you running? with some rear shocks you can lower your ride height with the preload and still not bottom out.

He could run an 86/87 dogbone, they are a little longer and lower his bike about an inch or so.
