I got a 2002 dodge dakota 4.7 V8 and its too quiet for my likings. I wanna go with either a 16" glass pack or straight pipes. What would sound the best and how much do you think it would cost to get done? thanks

glass pack sounds good on my 4.8 sierra

mine were 150 for dual tips and single glass pack but i think its between 200-3 now

My Z-71 is straight pipe all the way! But I'm gonna put a Flowmaster on it. I love flowmasters

No I bought it that way, no muffler, hollow cat. It will definitely get me pulled over, it's that loud. :D

it wouldn't cost much if you have a tubing bender, you don't have to pay for mufflers:D

Neither....I would go with a chambered muffler. When I was in HS a kid had a newer Dakota with the 4.7 and glasspacks.....it was plain laughable how bad that thing sounded when it accelerated. Just a bunch of popping/farting without any "V8" sound....talk about redneck-sounding.

I'd go with something along the lines of a Flowmaster 40 series 2 chamber or a Cherry Bomb 1 chamber muffler....you won't be disappointed with either ;)
