hey everyone
i was the one who posted the ASR a-arm thread.
they are supposed to arrive at my house tomorrow
so i went ahead and unbloted the stock a-arms
im down to everything off. the tie-rods came off fine. but where the upper and lower a-arm mount to the spindle, i cannot get them off. i took out the cotter pins and unscrewed the nuts off.
I cannot see anything that are keeping these mounted still. ANY ONE KNO HOW 2 REMOVE THEM, i dont want to break anything
let me kno
thanks alot

Try beating the ball joint ends out of the spindle with a rubber mallet (Do not use a metal hammer you will brake something). They kinda get pressed on when the a-arms get bolted to the spindles because the ball joint ends are tappered a little bit.

I usually just put a 2x4 or something on the spindle and whack it with a hammer, they usually separate. Or use a plastc hammer directly on it. It just needs a big shock to break free, however you do it.

Yup, spray a little penetrating oil and let it soak for a little bit, then hold the a arm up almost strait and hit the spindle. They should pop right out. Some times it takes a good whackin to get them to pop loose, but they will. Just make sure you gaurd your spindle with something and hit it square. :)

hey everyone
they popped out fine
only one lower a-arm was a B$$$$.
i put the new +2 +1 on there, but it seems like my quads sittin pretty low, i kno everythings hooked up right, i need 2 get my *** end 2 sit down more, its sittin like a drag car , LOL HAHAHA
its not that bad
but it could use like 2 inches lower in the back, anyone got any ideas on how 2 do that besides buyin a new shock or swing arm.
let me kno
thanks alot

the only way to lower the back would be to adjust the pre load. back off the spring.
