Race gas questions

I've determined that I need to use race gas in the 310 this time around, but I have a few questions for those that are familiar.

First off, what is the best to use in a two stroke?

Second, how much for a 5 gallon drum of it?

And third, not really related, but there is a year old bottle of Klotz Synthetic oil in my garage and I don't know if it deteriorates or what...? Should I use it? The seal was broken but only a very small amount was actually used. It's nearly full.

I'll comment on the oil, it will be perfectly fine to use even if it's a couple years old.

Racegas is usually about $6-7 a gallon so it should be $30-35 for 5 gallons. It's called..... well i forget but it was something 12... cam12?

cam 2 is what you are trying to get out. i have ran it in my 450R and my hybrid. when i had a LT250R , i ran cam 2 and klotz Benol and the smell was amazing.

Oh, dang, thats y i couldnt find it lol. Thanks. That works well. It smells funkey but so do all the other race gasses. Especially with race gas with race oil.

Can you get that Cam 2 at VP? I called them up this morning and the guy told me that it was 70 bucks for a 5 gallon drum of whatever he reccomended. U4-2 he said.

I wouldn't mind as much paying 6-7 bucks, but it will be snowing real hard in hell before I pay 15 bucks for a gallon of anything.

If I can't get it for at the very most under ten bucks a gallon, theres a Sunoco down town that sells 98 octane (?) from a pump for like a buck more a gallon than premium.

there is a marathon by me that sells some stuff that called Velocity, its 100 octane and its 6.99 a gallon. works well. but 70 bux for 5 gallons is a rip off.

I dont know a whole lot about race fuel but im pretty sure u4-2 is VP's oxygenated race fuel which is probably why its so expensive. I think it gets u like 1-2% gain in hp.

UHHH, Idk where exactly they sell it but basically you can get it at those gas stations with a million pumps tho. I had to get it for my rm250 and i had to go for a half hour drive. I think they tell you where to get it at their site. www.cam2.com and they might sell it at the pump and bottled.

Call your local fuel/oil distributor. Mine sells it right out of the pump, 110 leaded, brand unknown.

110 leaded is standard for AVGAS

try any airport that has fuel

VP sells C-12 it runs around $55.00 for 5 gallon that is what is normally run U4-2 IS more expensive
