i cant get the stearing stem bearing in my 450r frame. have tried to beat it in w/ a hammer and a socket and that didnt work so how do you get it in??? thanks

Putting it in from the top right?

Fresh powder coat?
If theres ANY PC in there at all, it's not guna go in.

yea i got it powdered. but he taped it off so theres no powdercoat in there

Maybe theres some clear in there?
It looked like there was none in mine either, but my frame has a clear coat of PC also and there was a nice coat of that in there along the top edge.
I scraped it out with a razor blade and the bearing popped right in after that.

Other then that there should be no reason for the bearing not to go in, theres no tricks to it or anything. Just a biatch after PC.

freeze the bearing and heat the frame

freeze the bearing do not heat the frame. unless you want soft spots on frame.

He's trying to get it back in after having the frame powder coated.
I'm sure he had to take the clip out to get the bearing out already :P
