timing chain

im taking the engine apart and i have to take the timing chain off of course and i dont knwo how to make sure i get it back in the right spot? any help is welcomed thanks.

When you replace the timing chain you have to remove the clutch (right) side cover. You then need to remove the clutch basket and some gears to replace the chain. You can see it go into place, and then you need to tie it up so it doesn't fall in. If you are worried about it not staying in place, you could tie it off and put your top end together before replacing the cover; then you'd know it's fine. Hope this helps.
