Hey guys,
Just wanted to show off the new airbox on the CRF, the old one was getting chainsawed by the chain and buckling, we changed the mounting point, made the box longer so less tension on the boot, also went to a more curved shape which allowed the box to be narrower and still centered in the chassis without contact with the chain, and a thicker aluminum. Just got to change the outerwear where the old box was hitting it.

Looks good man. I used to use JRD boxes on some of my builds and they are very similiar to what you have there. Def. helps with not hitting the chain.

lt500 boot

Justin,
That was where we got the idea of the more rounded, tubular design. Still thinking about modifying to put a lip on either side that would rest on the frame rails, currently I have the mount in in the back and that is all. I have put a hole on either side with a grommet and zip tied it and that works well, but I'd like to have something a little more permanent.

You could also fab some tabs unto the subframe and have the air box bolt directly to the subframe on both sides of the front of the box.

Thank you
Justin
