View Full Version : 400ex Chrome Oil Tank

title says it all. i have a stock size chrome oil tank. i have looked everywhere to find another so i could price this thing right but unable to find one. does not come with dipstick or drain plug. will get pics if needed. make me some offers. cannot remember what i spent on but i think its was around 100 or 125 bucks.

no its not rusty. it might need a good cleaning but thats about it. it looks like rust around the filler neck but its just dirty.

whoa........so it's not chromed, just polished ?

It looks nice, but there is a BIG difference between the two. Chromed aluminum will look that way nearly for ever, but only polished requires maintenance to keep it that way.

I chrome parts as a side line business. I know what it costs to chrome aluminum and at the price that you are now asking is right at what it costs to have it done.

But if it is not chromed...you surely would have a struggle on your hands when the buyer gets it and finds out it's not as advertised.

i sent it off and had it chromed. had it for over a year and never had to polish it. i say its chrome i was just messing with you. a buddy of mine sent it to cali somewhere to one of his friends and unless they polished it and told me its chrome then its chrome. i have polished many parts before and this is not like that.
i am not trying to false advertise so if someone buys it and doesnt like it when it arrives then they can send it back for a refund.
