piston install questions

I have a low hour 06 450r that I'M putting a new piston in. Is it nessary to deglaze the cylender walls at all, and if so what you guys using. Also how much jetting change is need going from the stock 12:1 to 13:1 piston. Thanks alot

If the cylinder still appears good just scrub it real good it with a scotch bright pad and some simple green or similar.
Cylinder shouldn't be glazed unless it got real hot, and if it did, u should be able to tell by looking at it.

If the jetting was good when u ran the 12:1 piston, it should still be good running a 13:1.

I used warmer soapy water and 220 sandpaper.

I used a soft hone on mine.

i had my teacher do a nikasil hone for mine.
