I saw yours and was considering using it, but I don't know what a regular e-series sounds like. I didnt want to throw people off. If yours isnt too different sound-wise compared to a normal e-series, ill add it. so is it?

what are you running now?

I think the HMF in that video sounds weird. I dont like the tone of it. In person it sounds completely different than in that video. Curtis Sparks has bar far the best sounds and gains IMO.

The LRD posted was the old discontinued system, not the new Pro-4 system that is quieter. My friend had one on his 400 and it sounded downright nasty.

I like the Sparks and the TC with their deep throaty exhaust notes. My CT hi-output system sounds similar but a tad quieter. It's got a real deep thump to it at idle though with the race end cap. I should try to post a sound clip next time I get a chance.

That was my first time hearing a HMF....it sounded a little too "buzzy" for me when revved it, but then again sound clips aren't always accurate.

Quite a few people have lead me towards, Rossier, Dasa, and Sparks but i am kind of on a budget and don't really want something really long! lol I have always been a fan of Shorty pipes, and of Yoshi pipes... i haven't decided what exhaust i will buy yet.

The first clip is the only clip I could find of the old-style LRD on my buddy's 400 (doesn't do it justice). The rest are my 400 with the CT hi-output full system.

I deleted the R4 exhaust, being I have a bunch of WB's anyway and he wasnt wearing a helmet.

Then i got rid of the old Alien and put mine in place. Its not very great, but ill try to get a better one soon.

I bought my exhaust used off of a member on here. It just came with it.

It was all pitted, so I sanded it and painted it black. I thought it looked cool.

Also, recently I installed a Quiet Core Spark Arrestor. You wouldn't believe how much quieter it is. Its amazing.

Nahh, they all come with heat shields as far as I know. Mine is actually fairly old. The only two models before it were the following:

1st: Oval canister, not shaped like aliens head.

2nd: Same as mine, but end piece holes are closer to the inside of the piece.

3rd: Mine.

Contact DMC and ask them. Even though they stopped selling the alien, they can still get quiet cores for them. I already asked. So they might have other stuff.

i have the same pipe but i did a retarded thing i was rideing home and there is a short way and a long way but the short way was muddy as **** but i took it just because its short and those disks plugged up with mudd and i blew a hole in the side ha it sucks but it was bassicly a streight pipe for the rest of the trip home ha

This is when I had the White brothers e-series, my brother has the HMF, and my cousin has stock pipes on his banshee. HMF has so much more grunt.

Aftermarket pipes sound sick. The stockers are so... lame. lol. I dont know what they were thinking when they made them.

And how many disks were in your WB? It sounds.. wierd. idk.

i think it was 12 disk. i know it sounds so different from other pipes, i just borrowed the e-series for a few months just traded the kid my stock exhaust for it because it was hinting season and it would be too loud with the WB so after hunting season i was back to stock then a few months later I bought my HMF.

I'm surprised by how similar they all sound, really. The Sparks does sound the meanest and the DMC is the most quiet, but other than that they're pretty similar.

No wonder everyone just get's an HMF. They're known performers that sound simlar to everything else and are the easiest to find, usually with better prices than most of the others.

I'll probably end up getting an HMF for this very reason, although part of me wants to get something else just to be different...

Actually, the DMC had the quiet core in it. That's my quad lol. It's very quiet with the core, but without it I think it's louder then sparks.

Here are clips of 2 of the 3 power tips offered for sound reduction. The first clip was just the spark arrester. Second clip is with the P4 tip which reduces sound 3-5db's. Third clip is a P3 tip & reduces sound 6-8db's. There also is a P1 tip that reduces sound 2-3 db's. IMO none of the tips take away power. The P3 sounds pretty close to a stock exhaust & is used with the spark arrester.

Ntensweapon....how do you like ur DMC AB Comp slip-on, did u notice quite a bit of difference with just a slip, I'm pretty sure i'll be buying this pipe very soon and would really like some input on it...also does the mid pipe bolt seperate from ur muffler or is all one peice, and does the muffler hit the ground before the grab bar does?...I have the DMC Alien Dual and let someone ride my quad one day and they put it back on my grab bar and bent my muffler where it meets the mid-pipe,(the muffler hits first with this system) i almost cried, fixed it but will never be the same, any info would be great....thanx

I like the pipe. Not super loud. Has more of a deep sound. It was brand new on the bike when I got it. So not sure on gains. The mid pipe does separate. The grab bar hits before the pipe. Keep in mind I have an aftermarket subframe and grab bar.
