Need A 400ex Frame With Title Bad!!!!

i recently bought a 400ex from a guy and he gave me a bill of sale and copies of the title. the dot said that i need the originals and the guy is nowhere to be found. if anyone has a titled frame or a way to resolve the title probley please let me know asap.

id just run the serial numbers and see if it comes up stolen ..if it doesnt apply for a lost title..

they said the previous owner has to get the title then sign it over to me. they said thats the only way i can get it. was hoping you guys knew another way.

i dont believe that..try another dmv or something..take them the bill of sale..tell them that the previous owner lost the title and u need to get a new one..it shouldnt be a problem at all honestly..

It's different state by state. Here you don't even need a title to register a quad.

yea i dont believe in fl u dont need one either..however if u have a bill of sale and dont have a title or lost it or previous owner lost it you can get a new one..


also i dont believe all bikes came with titles either i know way back when none of my bikes had titles..

I just asked a buddy about this that sells a lot of used cars and in WI you can't apply for a lost title if it was not previously in your name. In other words he may need the previous owner to apply for that lost title.
