Is that what happened when you rode for a hour or so with your air box boot unhooked from your carb? That piston is F*@#ked, I hate to see the cylnder wall.

that's funny cuz that's exactly what happened to me but i haven't posted on here for months... but yea i went to change my throttle cable one day and when i took the fuel tank off i noticed the boot wasn't on the carb... put it back on, and it ran for a while after but the damage had already been done.

That has happened to me as well, cost me a few mx races too. Well fortunetly that kind of damage was not done, short moto's, but going through the whoops my air filter to carb boot kept slipping off. I noticed something was wrong right away, NO POWER. Dang thing kept coming off each race too, not exactly the best system they have there. Had to custom make a clamp that I could really torque down to get it to stay... Something to definetly keep an eye on!

i have that problem also and do alot of trail riding ... i took a bike tube and cut it open and wrapped it around the carb side and the air box intake and clamped it down

i've never had a problem with mine coming off.. just make sure its on correctly and then tighten the clamp, using a bit better hose clamp might help?

use a "REAL" hose clamp.

A real hose clamp will solve your problem.
