I was wondering if there was any trick on getting the pivot bearings out. Mine are all rusted and stuck inside the swingarm. Note: its a laeger's swingarm not a stocker.

Thanks, Norm

This is very simple Norm. Get a 12" long 3/8 ratchet extension, put a socket on it that fits inside the swingarm and on the outer race of the needle bearing and beat it out. If that doenst work, get a "turnbuckle" at a hardware store, put a nut on each threaded end, and turn the turnbuckle so the thread pieces with the nuts on them push out.........oh yeah, you have to place it in the middle of the 2 needle bearings, and push them out. If they are stuck in, beating or pressing them out, may break the swingarm, but if you use the turnbuckle, all the force is on the bearings only. Follow me?

This is what I am talking about. Take the put all thread with nuts, or long bolts with head (maybe allen headed) that fit up to the needle bearings, and spread the bolts out by turning the turnbucke.

Mine were stuck in my stock swingarm pretty bad because I forgot to take them out before I had the swingarm sandblasted and powdercoated,,,but I just took a socket extension and a hammer and tapped them out!!! Wasnt real easy but they will eventually come out!!!

Well I already used a socket and extenstion. I got one side out and then the other side I ended up beating out the needles and the cage they sit in. So now I got the outer race of a bearing stuck in one side. My dad was thinking about cutting it out with a hacksaw. We definatly dont wanna heat it cause it'll weaken the crap outta it.

Maybe you could cut it out w/ a dremel. Try a wheel bearing puller, or a wheel puller, that could work.

I just send my swingarm to my machinist to remove my destroyed bearings out of my carrier. 5$ and 5 minutes...:D
