Can anyone figure out what is wrong with my front shocks? I think they got messed up from when I wrecked six months ago. I can compress the springs with my hand when there is no weight on the front end. Also look at the pics from the right side compared to the left.

those top springs are suppose to be soft springs. thats what gives you progressive shock travel making it smooth.

Is everything supposed to run free throughout under the shock springs? How come that metal piece fell down on the one side but not the other? Sorry about being a noob about shocks it's just that it doesnt seem right that I can push together the springs with my hand about an inch.

oh that just determines when the second spring starts to engage. they use the metal sleeve to control the crossover. you can prob slide that one down if it makes you happy. everything looks good to me.

Alright thankyou for the help, I thought I was going crazy haha. Is it ok to move the preload down to compress the shock a little so it is not so loose or would that make is ride crappy?

it will mainly change your ride height. it will make the front end sit a lil taller. and also make it a lil stiffer ride but you prob wont be able to notice.....just the ride height.

looks like your missing that top peice that holds the spring down
