i am currently doing my winter/spring rebuild. i wanted to get rid of the big cluster on the handle bars where the start button, kill switch and light switches are. i took my wire harness apart and got rid of a lot of wires that were not needed. my big question is where to put my start button so its hidden but easy to use. anyone do this on here? i was also woundering if anyone got rid of there key switch and how to do that, and will it will it drain your battery.

i would go with red race plastic with a black tank cover and black hood and some kind of gripper seat.

i think white carbon fiber or even white or silver plastics would look SICK!! im personally doing my own build and finishing it soon as my new swingarm pivot bolt and bearings come in. i have painted frame and sub-frame red, black a-arms and swinger, with black plastics. i'm going to post before and after pics with a list of parts when im done

do not do the carbon fiber LOOK plastic. it looks like crap and i hate maier there customer service is crap and they treat you like a peace of **** if you don't know all there part numbers by hart. i would go with lakers. if i was going to get new better plastic i would go with lakers any day before maier. fullbores are good too but they are a little over priced.

Laker Customs IMHO has some of the sickest nicest looking plastics on the market. Would be a great choice for you to go with their plastics.

finally ordered a bunch of parts i needed today. i will never try to deal with a dealership again, over priced and their a bunch of dumb *****! i decided to go with rocky mountain, half the price a lot nicer to deal with. anyone know about 426 kits, what i all need and about how much. im debating between a 426 and a 440.

There Laker Customs. Look on their site, then look at their gallary. I think it would be awsome to have clear plastic, but I dont want to show all the ugly underneith..

oh ok. the thing you don't understand is to most of us who know about atv's the underneath is as butifull as the surface. as long as your wiring isn't a mess. :) lol

The wiring just isn't all that pretty, but its better than it is stock I think personally. And from all the time I had gotten diss'ed in my other thread about it not being clean enough, or stuff like that I have it all tore apart and am cleaning everylettle peice. And thats after the picture of my bike cakes w/ mud... its looking real god, but I am afrade to see how ugly the engine is on the inside.. Lets let shallow518 have his thread back, sorry about that.

the only thing i got left to do is rebuild the motor. whats the best things to do? im thinking about porting and polishing the head. what else can i bo besides a big bore kit. all im looking at is a high compression piston. i already have a hotcam stage 2 . but im looking at other things i can do besides boring and stroking the motor.
