hey guys, i found a great deal on an 07 ltr450. Gibson Steering stem with Pro Taper bars. It has full Nurf Bars. Even has full armored under carriage to protect machines bottom as well as Pro Armor dominator bumper.

by the pictures it looks like its in great shape, he says he had a kid so his wife is making him sell it. i can get this for 4300.

my only problem is that im a little nervous because reading in the reviews i saw everyone saying it has issues with the transmission. my other problem is that im not a racer, i ride alot of trails and stuff.

can someone point me in the right direction or give me some tips? i dont want to regret this, ive been saving for a long time. my other option is just to wait for more money to find me and buy the 08 400 ex.

id post pictures, not sure how

oh, and if i was to test ride it, does the transmision whine problem only occur at high speeds? im a little inexperienced with a clutch, im moving from an auto utility. and unsure if the guy has space to give it some speed.

The tranny whine is common in these quads,in most cases nothing to worry about. I have a friend that races in the pro class on a 07 and has no problems with tranny. As far as shifting the 400ex is a shifter as well.I believe you would be happier with the 07 ltr in the long run.You dont have to be a racer to ride the ltr. Hope this helps and you make the right choice.

There is no comparrison between a 400ex and a LTR, the LTR is far superior. The LTR is faster, handles better, and is more advanced in every aspect, their not even in the same catagory. A better comparison would be between the LTR and a honda 450r. You shouldn't have any problems trail riding an LTR, although i would highly reccomend 22" front tires and 20" rear tires for clearance ( i like the maxxis Razr 2's).

oh know the ltr beats the 400ex performancewise, i was just thinking the ex suits my needs a lil more.

how much do u think the clearance would be with those tires?
here it is

a good deal? that is an amazing deal. LTR no questions about it. The EX may fit your needs now but what happens when you become a good rider and want more power and more speed....then you have to go through the hassle of selling the ex to find another amazing deal on an LTR.
