this is acutally my WIFES truck. weve had it for a couple months now but this is the first nice day we have had since october. we traded in a '06 crew cab lease to get this one, what a difference. this is a new color for '08, dark blue metallic. it has

6 disc changer/mp3/speed volume
sirius satellite radio
power rear slider
power driver seat
chrome package
and the rest of the "loaded" stuff

whatcha think of it

this is my unit. '03 explorer. they wanted 8995.00 for it, i got it for 5800.00 bucks. helps when your wife is the office manager of a ford dealer. lmao how many miles you think is on the explorer? remember its been in michigan all its life. thanks for the comments

i see something wrong with this picture

you're driving an old explorer and not a nice new mans truck.

how much that truck cost ya? i know those are about 38-44k brand new. that thing does have all the goodies. i like it and i like the color too

Looking pretty good. I'm guessing maybe 60K on the explorer?

The ranger is now gone and the new ride is much better. 300hp on tap and better mileage than the ranger is a good thing.

for you f150 owners, what actual mileage are you getting on them under normal driving conditions? we found one that we really like..

I'm getting about 14mpg in the heavy traffic down here. Step out on the highway and I'll get about 18mpg.

zsk, are you who i think you are. as in dad works for phone company and from mds? why are you in fl.?

i just did a trip the other day was doing 78mph and got exactly 16 highway. the sticker says 17 highway, not bad. the supercrews with the 5.5' box have a 30 gallon tank.

this truck stickered for 37,300. if you want a truck like this plus navigation and lariat 47,000. im not sure what the '09s are gunna with the on-board pc, and computerized tool inventory, ect.
look on the ford website and look at the specs for the '09, no other truck will touch it by a mile for options. finally ford woke up on this one.

zsk, that truck is cool, finally dude your not slummin it in that damn ranger lol. good luck zsk.

somebody give me a couple more guesses on the milage on the explorer, thanks

Very nice truck. My dad has an 07 F150 Scab lariat 4x2 3.55s and got 19-20 for awhile on the highway. Then when winter came he started getting 17 highway.

those new fords are nice looking trucks! My dad just picked up an 07 silverado tho and that truck is really nice! The biggest thing i love is how the motor drops down to 4 cylinders when it doesnt need the complete v8 power. We made a trip down to NC this past weekend and we averaged 19mpg and we were doing about 75-80 the whole way so the 4cylinder didnt kick in much, but shorter trips on the highway and if you have enough control to go between 65-68 you can acheive about 28mpg

zsk the same girl you been with?

kickstarts-suck that black is nice. the chrome package rielly makes a difference. i like the chrome clad wheels the best. ive noticed on our supercrew that they took a few inches from the width of the drivers door and 6" from the box, (crew has 6' box, supercrew 5'5" box) to make up the space for the back door. the first time i got in it my right shoulder brushed the pillar, (6' 0" 305 62"chest) and it didnt on the crew, but im used to it now. i can put the driver seat all the way back to where im comfortable and still have one of the car seats behind me with leg room for the 3yr old.

the milage on the explorer is 144,142. the wife looked up the maintainance records on the computer and the guy bought the truck there at the dealer brand new and had oil changed every 2,500-3,000 miles. one owner. so thats what sold me right away. milage doesnt mean a whole lot if the oil has been changed. j.m.o.

thanks for the replys

Same girl, been engaged since June getting married in July.

In my crew cab I can slide the seat all the way back, where I'm comfortable, and there's plenty of leg room for an adult. The only downside is that I don't have a full 6' box but with an enclosed trailer it's worth the extra interior room.

We just got an 06 super crew lariat and love it. Funny thing is my situation is just like yours. My g/f traded her mini in on it because it was worth more than my explorer. So now she is driving the F-150 till we save up enough money to sell my explorer and put a nice down payment on an 08 escape for her. After that the F-1 is all mine.

Nice f-150! We have quite a few of them in our family.

This is the only pic I could find of my dad's 07 f-150. Also pictured is our 05 eddie bauer expedition. Man is that thing nice. A lot nicer than our old expedition.

We also have an 05 I believe f-150 and my grandfather has an identical 07 f-150 to my dad's. Nice trucks. I would've thought the 5.4 would pull harder though. haha Then again driving the cobra and the f150 back to back, what was I going to expect.

nice!

We have 3 F150s.
Mom has a toyota though :scary:

Dads 07 F150, my 86 F150, and brothers 02 F150. Ive got a friend that has a 90 F150 and another friend that had a 95 and we all were parked in my driveway. Pretty cool to see 5 generations of F150s sitting in the driveway.
