Tether Switch

To hook it up, it says ground it to the frame, did that. Then it says connect it to the kill switch or the positive lead going into the coil. Anyone have a picture of what wire is the positive one? I can tell what ones the ground. Its a 04 450r and its the pro design kill switch. Thanks

ground it and hook the other wire to the white wire under the hood

There are 4 wires coming out of the ignition switch. A green, black. red and a black with a white stripe.

If you are getting rid of the key switch the cut it off clsoe to the switch and leave a lot of wire hanging. You splice the green wire to the wire on the kill switch that comes out of the metal part of the kill switch. Then you splice the black with a white stripe to the wire that comes out of the plunger on the kill switch. You MUST splice the 2 remaining wire together (red and black) to make the fan, lights and carb heater to work.

If you are keeping the key switch, just splice into the green and black with a white stripe as stated above.

So splice all 3 wires together in the last part? The one off the tether, the green and the black with white stripe?

Yes I did, but im a little confused. My headlights dont work and arent in place so maby thats why im missing a few colors?

I went to the black/white wire coming out of the CDI.

Its all taped up, just find the b/w wire in the cdi and splice into to it.

The CDI is another name for the coil right? The box that the wire from the spark plug runs into?

"the box" with the plug wire is the coil
the actual box looking electrical piece is the cdi (Capacitive Discharge Ignition)
