I am going to pic up my new toy tomorow afternoon.
Just in time for summer. I didn't care what year I was geting but it had to be in mint shape and not break the bank. I was looking for about 2 months. There are alot of stangs out there but not to many in this good of shape. I will get some better pics when I get it home. It has super low miles.

Ya I was going to get the new body style but it was a little to much coin around here. I wanted one that had never seen snow.
we salt the crap out of are roads and it wrecks everything.
This one was stored in a heated garage and only has 10,200km on it. Not sure what that is in miles, I think its about 7000 or so.
The couple that owned it were in there late 40's so it was probly never driven that hard. Should have it at home by 5 or 6 tonight

Almost made it home and the f in car broke on me. block heater started to leak. should have it home on monday now.
this sucks big time it is the best weather we have had this year right now. Oh well summer is just starting right.

did you call or bring it back to the guy you brought it from? if i were you i would atleast make him pay for it. if it was me i would make him buy the car back, if it broke down on the way home from pickin it up theres no tellin what else is wrong with it. that just my opinion tho. but i hope there is nothing else wrong with it and everything gets taken care of. good luck with it.

Anderson Programable engine management system.

Just a short description, its a complete computer tuning system. Not some burnt chip or plug in couple settings computer. You have to tune the car from every aspect with the PMS, but its by far superior(along with some other tuning systmes) to the normal chips or plug ins when dealing with high HP, boost, or even nitrous.

if you dont know already thats the hertz rental car.
wish we actually had one, it was a blast. for only 350HP it could get up and move, and leave some mean burnouts. it didnt handle fast corners too good though, to light in the front end.

Jrspawn... haha I'd love to turn my cobra into a total sleeper, but I just don't have the cash, especially for these modular motors. I'd love to take my brother's 396 he has and drop it in there with a t56 or a build c6. If you build the c6 right, they don't suck as much power up, but this car is also a dd in the summer haha. That fox body you have, is it caged by choice or required? haha if it's required, what times are you running in the 1/4mile? My brother's ranger sadly beats my cobra in the quarter. haha he runs a 12.9 in that thing. :huh

Hey whats up. The dohc cobra mod motors are def expensive to build up, But they make stupid HP and pull hard. The actual drivetrain in the 97 had some pretty extensive work done though also. On a decent tune it ended up in the 700hp range. The cars a handfull to drive though on the street. Even with decent sticky dot tires the car gets a squirely in boost. But none the less i had more fun than a little with it last summer blowing the doors off of most the "street cars" around the area. as for the yellow/blue fox it was a required cage setup. I switched quite a few drivetrains in and out of that car, and at a time the car had a 10.0 setup. I then switched most of that setup to a full tube chassis 88 coupe, but pretty much it just sat in the garage. Ive got another 93 red 5.0 with original black interior with some goodies, and another 88 black on black GT that im contemplating building another street machine out of. If you guys cant tell, just like my addiction with quads, ive always had an addiction with mustangs, lol.

Yah I don't want to go too wild with the cobra yet. It's still a summer driver and just a fun car for now so I'm not unloading a ton of money into it yet. I think I might build up my truck a little more after I get the charger on, so not much planned for the cobra.

when you rent they give you the keys and you leave, when you come back you give them the keys and leave, they dont look at the car to see if you damaged it or anything.

it had a service sticker on it, it was for rear brakes, only 4 months after they had the car!:rolleyes:

Stand on the brakes and Give it hell, leave a BIG burnout and they dont care.:D

If I'm in the pittsburgh area sometime soon (only hertz dealer that has them) I'll be sure to rent one for a day. haha I'd love to beat the hell out of a car and just give it back. Kinda like cops!

Well the car has been great after the block heater episode.
While it was in the shop we started on the mods, nothing major yet but it will hapen all in due time. I added a Borla cat back exhuast so far. It sounds awsome now, the fit was great, and it looks cool too.

I need to find out more info about the car and the mods to make.
As a quad guy this is the best site out there and I was wondering if there is a comparable mustang site?

I can't remember the site, but there is a really really good ford/svt forum that I used to be part of. It's been so long since I've been on there I can't remember it. Do a search once. I think it's like svtperformance or something. Lots of good knowledgeable guys.
