I am currently in the process of looking for a used 450R. I ran across this one locally and just wanted to get your guy's opinion.

05 honda trx450r red in color dmc alein exhaust i paid 600 for this pipe. k&n air filter air box vents rejeted carb.this thing is extremly fast!also comes with a brand new in the box weisco big bore kit this is the complete kit with cylinder and all i paid 1500 for it.also comes with a set of sand paddle tires and wheels,cover for atv,riding boots size 9 and helmet,gogles,pants,gloves,&jersey. $5000

I did take a look at it and it looks to be in good shape, one owner and only rolled once. The over sized piston is a stage 3 which he told me is no longer being made, is that true?

I don't know about that big bore kit but $5000 for an 05. That is worth more like $3500.

Ok, that is what I thought, There is an 05 that is stock in my area and they wan't $4350 and that is the cheapest one. I figured the big bore kit and mods were worth the extra $600.

Man shop around some you can buy a 450 cheaper than both those prices. You may have to drive a little bit but if you save 700 bucks and spent 100 in fuel its worth it. I have an 04 that has a brand new engine all except for the cases that i would let go for about 3300 but it would cost ya a lil more than 100 in fuel and it would cost me about 6 months in the doghouse when my g/f was back on the bleachers just watching me practice hahaha

I know he said he was firm on his price because of the mods but I will have to talk to him again and see if he will go down. I am pretty sure he won't though.
