Please don't leave anything offending, we need more places like Linton to ride. The added pressure is due to the fact that LBL will close for almost any reason. Main reasons for consideration of closing are vandalism,noise,road riders.Please ask anyone who cares to leave some feed back.

ATV riding near Lake Barkley has proved to be a lot of fun for a lot of people over the years.


Unfortunately for riders, though, the fun has gone too far.

Lake Barkley officials are considering closing the Linton and Dry Creek areas to all-terrain vehicles after several complaints about trespassing and vandalism. The 975-acre site is about 15 miles south of Cadiz, Ky., on state Highway 164.

"Several public disturbances such as trespassing, vandalism and excessive noise have arisen in recent years," officials said in a news release Wednesday from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Because of those problems and an insufficient staff and budget to properly manage the area, the Corps is proposing closing both areas to ATVs. The areas will remain open for hiking, bicycling and hunting, according to the news release.

A public meeting to get feedback on the proposed closure will be held at 10 a.m. April 26 at the Linton Volunteer Fire Station. Comments may also be sent by e-mail to lintonorvcomment@hotmail.com.

That will be bad, not only that but Pattys Bluff in Missouri is Closed only open for 3 days this year,....theres no where to ride around here anymore, cant ride in the game reseves/ game refuge or anywhere public with woods
